Only the one in Dunwoody closed. We're still open everywhere else. Each year around this time all the leases either get renewed or some stores close based on the year's sales. We've at least made a profit at Northlake mall, so we're lucky. Plus we're the only bookstore within miles.badcarburetor wrote:Hey Moloc, you work at Borders, right? What the story on the going out of business, use your gift cards ASAP rumors? For real or not? I hope not I love Border's and don't dig B&N.
The closing rumors have been bubbling for years, but as far as I know we're sticking around for a while. It's one of the best jobs I've ever had, so I hope we stick around!
BTW we also sell the God Delusion by Richard Dawkins--another wonderful atheist book.

Really good to hear. I had heard that rumor from a semi-reliable source, so I took it a bit more seriously than I normally would.Moloc wrote:Only the one in Dunwoody closed. Every xmas my Dad, brother and I would exchange all those Dawkins, Hitchens, type books on atheism. I also found it funny to see, like, five of those books being passed around on the blessed morning.
Looks like your shop is about to my home base bookstore, since we're moving back to that area. Anyone want to rent an urban fortress down in EAV?

Getting back to topic...
I could get behind this, if not for apathy. It's not at all about thinking you can change the minds of dedicated delusional whackos. It's about standing out there, for everybody else to see, proclaiming "This is the enemy, and too long have we been the silent minority. Since we cannot burn their building down and impale them in protest, we shall do all that we are legally allowed to."
