I have to say, the only band I didn't care for that much was Nachtmystium - but to be fair, i've never heard of them(or Daniel Lioneye) before this. Enjoyed most of it, but for some reason I think Dani Filth's mic was too low or he just can't scream into it like he used to. Unless I missed it, they only played one new song - Lilith Immaculate.
Got to break up an impending fight between two couples and guys that were "daring" to mosh near them. Pitiful.

Wow, really? Nachtmystium are pretty well-known in 'the scene.'JyStar wrote:I have to say, the only band I didn't care for that much was Nachtmystium - but to be fair, i've never heard of them(or Daniel Lioneye) before this.
Daniel Lioneye were better than I expected, and a FAR cry from H.I.M. I didn't have very high expectations, though.

Because Turisas inexplicably played first -- and from most accounts, slayed -- I missed their entire set. They should be back in the fall. A few people I know were impressed at their fans' dedication (red warpaint, Viking costumes, etc.)
Merch was cheap, but sparse, being the last night of the tour.
Good setlist from CoF but.......
I had the same impression...and also, his low growls were much more audible than his high screeches. Which, depending on who you ask, could be a Good Thing.Enjoyed most of it, but for some reason I think Dani Filth's mic was too low or he just can't scream into it like he used to.

But yeah, the house mix was terrible. Even Ben from Stonehenge was annoyed.

See above regarding the setlist.Unless I missed it, they only played one new song - Lilith Immaculate.

Dang, I was right behind the pit for most of CoF's set, but didn't notice that.Got to break up an impending fight between two couples and guys that were "daring" to mosh near them. Pitiful.
