The security at the Masq. took my fresh doob during Cannibal Corpse, but I can't blamed as the stone had led us to center stage front and had started an open circle. They gave us the option of leaving or seeing The Man. So I just left, but not before i spied him putting the nearly whole joint behind is ear. Bastard.

yeah, in a way they were kinda cool about it tho. Not to many venues in this country are going to be cool about ya poppin out a j. Back when Center Stage (now Earthlink Live) had a lot of metal concerts, they were notorious for asshole security - the kinda that if they got on ya would would open the door with your face and beat ya around a little for good measure while ejecting you.

Masq has had dick employees but I still like the venue overall. It's got character and it's big enough to handle large crowds yet still maintain a relatively small feel. The heat is my only real complaint.

Gwinett Center is that kind of thing, its not too small to be shitty and not too big to be not intimate.
