Slayer's best, Haunting the Chapel, barely reaches mediocrity for me personally.

My vote goes for Hell Awaits. Remember sitting in my room as a teenager listening to the vinyl at night before bed with headphones. At Dawn They Sleep...what else can I say!

breaks my lil heart.

But nah, I've never really liked Slayer. Or much American thrash for that matter. When I want older dirty 'n' dark thrash I tend to stick to the Europeans or South Americans.

Up to Seasons, it was all gold. After that I was out until Christ Illusion, which I dig a good bit, but rarely spin now. I kinda dug World Painted Blood, too, even if that title and the song Hate Worldwide are a bit silly. Hell Awaits is probably the high water mark, but that can rotate with Reign depending on my mood.

Scissor Sisters - Night Work

A variety of shit by:
Aura Noir
Bartathrum
Bathory
Ghost
Devil's Blood

Darkthrone
Destroyer666 - That song The Eternal Glory of War (or whatever it's called) is the best repetitive hook ev'ar.
Mayhem

Not from me. I don't listen to Slayer to hear slow songs.
