That sucks. Though it's nice she's alright and you looking out after her. But DAAAAAAAAAAAMN what a show. I crooked my back again and nearly broke my neck twice.

I thought all of the bands put on good shows.

Who was that punk band that opened?

i believe they are called expect resistance.

I enjoyed sadistic's set in particular. DRI was awesome, couch slouch ftw.

thanks dude. unfortunately i missed your set because i was in the loading bay curled up in pain with a massive stomach ache when i heard you guys go on. by the time i got up, loaded my gear and got back it was over. i was expecting you guys to play a much longer set for some reason. they labeled you as "direct support" which i thought meant something special. but what i heard from when i was outside was a typical badass spew set. did you guys get a pretty solid crowd?

This show kicked my ass hard and I wasn't even in the pit!

Sadistic Ritual sounded great.

Spew delivered like always.

Expect Resistance was alright.

Got to meet Badcarburetor finally. It was good to see so many people from the forum. It's always a pleasure hanging out with you all.

Met an old guy like me who brought his 16-year-old son. He said he's been bringing him to shows since he was ten. My son will probably get into techno or some shit I hate.

D.R.I. killed for two fucking hours. I tried to get a shot on my iphone of the bassist wandering through the crowd while playing, but my phone wouldn't turn on in time. By the time I hit record he was gone.

It's been twenty years since I've seen D.R.I. and they haven't changed a bit. I like that in a band.

I kind of expected more people, but it was awesome. Ive been excited the masquerade has been so tolerant of stage dives lately.

Ive met that older guy who brings his kid to shows before. I gave him a flyer for the Cro Mags show and he didnt believe me. I guess thats why he'll only go to shows at the Masquerade.

I hadnt seen Sadistic Ritual since their first show and I really enjoyed them.

I think this is up to the bands actually. I was talking to one of the security dudes and that's what I got from him. Most bands don't like when people do that apparently but bands who are more hardcore or punk don't mind it for the most part.

I didn't go cause I was at my roommate's show. I had a good time. I saw DRI at MDF anyways. Glad it was fun!

Haha no sweat man, we played like shit but people seemed to dig it and my buddy who is always brutally honest said it was good so whatever... just wasn't an "on" night for us.

Initially they told us we'd have like 40 - 45 minutes or some shit but when i asked the sound guy before we went on he said the show was running behind so we just played the set we'd planned and left it at that... something like 28 minutes.

This is certainly possible and I'm sure any band can ban diving if they want, but ultimately when some shit goes wrong and some kid gets seriously injured (as can happen) it's the club taking the risk of being sued. So, good on Masquerade for being kind of cool about that.

i hear that. our zombie ritual cover sucked fucking ass. we had it nailed in practice but had only played it a few times and since it wasn't muscle memory yet and i wasn't able to focus very well i was on all the wrong parts at all the wrong times and got confused as hell... but no one said anything. last time we'll ever do a last minute cover
