Sebastian:
I'm retarded when it comes to knowing my gear and im broke. spent too much on my guitar and last amp head so everything else is pretty standard. i can't even afford to properly set up my equiptment butttt
Picks:
The blue dunlops. i think they're 1mm. 1 or 1.4. not sure. they're blue, that's all i know
Guitar:
Jackson SL2H American made soloist (Transparent Blue) - this is my main axe. really fucking sweet guitar but needs a setup
Alex's old Agile Reaper which i plan on fixing up over time (Black) - i'm going to start using this as a backup guitar for live shows
Epiphone Les Paul - (First guitar, sunburst)
Hamer Slammer - (Sunburst and that shit was free). learn to play this guitar well and every other guitar becomes easier. soooo fucking stiff
Harmony piece of shit acoustic handed down from my dad - broke it learning crazy train when i first started. was sooo pissed at that intro riff
Bass:
No idea what model it is but it's a pretty sweet Charvel bass sanded down to the natural wood color then coated over for protection. our bassist used it live a few times.
Amps:
Ampeg Lee Jackson VL 1002 Tube head- I don't use this because the tubes blew out and i couldnt afford to keep fixing them. plus i had no overdrive pedal so it never really worked for me. basically it's a high gained modified marshall by lee jackson that was eventually turned into his own line of amps and sold through Ampeg (will sell if anyone wants it)
Crate Shockwave something - Solid state amp. Not really anything special, pretty noisy but reliable and cheap so i use it live for now until i can afford something better.
Acoustics Bass amp- sadly converted to my vocal practice amp now but sounded pretty good for its size
Marshall 1939 2x12 stack - probably my best sounding piece of amp gear. unfortunately it's not supported by a nice amp. has some good celestion speakers in the back but i can no longer remember what model they were.
Pedals:
ISP Decimator - Made my Crate 70% less shitty
Digitech Gnx4 - Got this years ago and only use it for home practice out of my sisters fender amp.

I always thought your Universe was a badass guitar. I'm a little surprised to see the Axis pedals though. Last time i talked to you I think you were only using a single pedal. Axis pedals are so different.AmoebicDysentery wrote:Guitars...

thanks man, i've already gotten it semi-setup by alex. just some minor issues. i know plenty of people who can do it, just don't have the motivation to drive out to them haha. nothing major though, still plays pretty well. and yeah damn, i need a new computer then. i no longer can use dropbox on the one i have because it won't pick up internetMaleficSounds wrote:Dropbox dude, best way to go for any of your uploading, mp3's, images, whatever. Send your guitar to me and I'll set that shit up.SadisticRitual wrote:i may when i get back to ATL. no idea how to post them thoughPat wrote:I wanna see some gear pics!
That's unusual. NJs are typically considered to be the best BC Rich models available at the time. Not sure about the new ones. My ST has never given me any issues, and can hold a tuning for quite some time. There's a slight buzz in one of the pickups though, and it's noticeable with any significant amount of gain. That's an issue I'm gonna fix when I get back home though.badcarburetor wrote:Hey Vhyle, what's the deal with NJ series gear. When I was a kid I had three early-mid 80s NJs: a black Warlock bass, a yellow (ugh) Bich and a white Mockingbird. Motherfuckers sounded like ass and never stayed in tune. I always thought they were bottom of the barrel. You seem to dig yours though. Were they "student" gear or was I just unlucky?
Sounds like you were just unlucky.

I've had those axis pedals since about 2003 or 2004...they were an impulse buy more than anything since i didnt (and still dont) have the skills to properly use them. Probably when I talked to you last I didn't have the slave pedal hooked up, I seem to alternate every few months depending on what i'm doing.Pat wrote: I always thought your Universe was a badass guitar. Guitars:
Dean Custom Zone Bass - everything is stock on it. i bought it because i liked the look and it was cheap so I wouldn't have to feel bad about it getting covered in beer and sweat all the time
BC Rich NJ Series Mockingbird Guitar - love this guitar but it needs a new tremolo system because my old guitar player borrowed it for a while and it came back totally rusted out.
Rig:
Ampeg SVT350h - Got it super cheap and love it. I need to get a couple new knobs and some of the EQ sliders are broken off so i need to replace that shit but it gets the job done.
Ampeg 8x10 - This is technically Jake's but he's a good dude to let me use it since there are a bunch of blown speakers in my other cab and I can't afford to replace em. Thing looks gnarly as hell as almost all of the tolex is gone and the cloth grill was torn out and replaced with a metal one. It was actually the bass cab Social Infestation used for all their shit which is amusing because Rafay's rig is the guitar rig they used as well.
Gallien Krueger GLX 8x10 - fuck this cab. 4 speakers are blown because it was "under powered" by my svt. looks great and is in pristine cosmetic condition but sounds like a wet fart because of the speakers. for the record: it sounded great when the speakers weren't blown. oh well, $250 if someone wants to take it off my hands.
Pedals:
Boss Pedal Tuner - yep.
BBE Green Screamer - Technically a guitar pedal but sounds great for bass and doesn't lose much low end like a lot of guitar distortion pedals.
Bass Muff Pi - Also Jake's. Sounds like a fucking blizzard coming out of my amp when coupled with the BBE. Killer.
I'll post pics if i remember to take some next time we jam

don't know what trem system you're using but you can usually clean it. i have an original floyd on my jackson and replaced the bridge saddles with some graphtech stainless steel string savers. they also came with stainless steel replacement screws. they look cooler and way cleaner and have yet to rust at all so i'm pretty happy with that. they make them for a few other bridge styles i believeRyan wrote:Guitars:
