I agree, chief -- those classics are things we grew up with and marked important times in our life.

But I would submit that the moment you were having totally called for "Christraping Black Metal." More Marduk in your life would be a good thing.

All damn day.
When I was a kid, I was all about Number. But Killers is where it's at.
Number is boring to me now. Love the title track and Run and Hallowed, but the rest of it is kinda limpdick. Art's best part of this rec.

I've been packing and listening to a lot of music, lately.

Black Sabbath -- Paranoid. This was the only tape in the deck in the summer of 1984. Still rules.
Black Sabbath -- Master of Reality. This might even rule harder.
Black Sabbath -- Vol. 4. Sucks. With the exceptions of "Tomorrow's Dream" and "Snowblind."
Marduk -- Panzerdivision Marduk. x2. Because it is just that good.
Slayer -- South of Heaven. I don't know anymore whether RIB or SOH is my favorite.
Venom -- Black Metal. This ruled hard when I was 16. When I'm 41? Sucks. Except for "Buried Alive" (but not "Raise the Dead") and "Countess Bathory." Those are mandatory. But I really wish Mantas would have taken his amp out of the cardboard box.

That is certainly the traditional view. But the two compliment each other nicely and it is hard for me to pick.

I don't know, I like Cornucopia and Brutal Truth did a sweet cover of it too. Also Under the Sun/Everyday comes and goes is pretty cool too.
See you in Hell!

I debated whether to include this song and I can see your point. It is the chorus "Sacrifice. Oh so nice. Sacrifice" that kills me. "Oh so nice"? W.T.F. Cronos could have farted better lyrics than that.

Admittedly, I don't know this album as well as other Ozzy-era albums. But the record feels really inconsistent to me. FWIW.
