this applies to me for the most part. I tend to listen to mostly growly stuff and usually I hate when a band switches from clean to dirty.Azrael wrote:Diana wrote:None of my favorite metal vocalists sing actual notes.
People who actually sing:
Hetfield
Christina Scabbia (yeah fuck off, I like her voice!

Dio
Ozzy
I like others who sing but they aren't my 'favorites'.

steve will make you an offer ... you caaaaaan't refuse
in other slightly cheese factory singers i like would include ...
blackie lawless,
Lizzy Borden
Udo Dicksmiler
oh yea and david wayne from metal church , their first two albums are pretty awesome
randy rampage from annihilator is pretty good
as was midnight from Crimson Glory, he had a darker more piercing quality to his voice these newer prog metal wannabees lack and end up sounding like refugees from journey tribute bands

i am one of the few who likes the ripper
i think i am down with pretty much everyone else but blaze bayley can't sing his way out of a paper bag - i saw him once with wolfsbane and he sucked then , and the maiden stuff was pretty much blasphemy
