yeah, the owner for Archive is being a... well he's not being helpful. whateva..
I've tried Wonderroot already. They said they've got some special event already planned for that night. What's everyone's take on this place over in Decatur? I've been past it, and I've seen pictures but I'm not stoked on it.

They don't like doing weekend shows. i.e. Fri, Sat er Sun I'm guessing.regurgitated death wrote:Wonder Root can suck a root. What's the exact deal on Archive these days?
They are still open for biznezz but the owner is supposedly a freakshow that is only into hip hop shows. Melanie is the sole provider for all other shows. However, I'm pretty sure she's gonna get burned out on doing this shit eventually.

I've never had a problem with Wonderroot though they are closed on Sunday which is a bummer, but I think Archive is kind of teetering on the edge of extinction unfortunately due to the owner not being smart about the things going on there.

The Archive would have to spend money to make money. Being in the same building as an event space that books a lot of gospel, etc and has off duty cops as security doesn't bode well for anyplace trying to go under the radar with NO licenses.
The only way the Archive can reopen is be legit which because of getting busted means the only way would be an entertainment venue which is money to get things up to code, licensing, etc.
The only way a punk/metal/underground venue to succeed and last is for the people who actually run the space like the music and the people who they're catering to,which the Archive 'owners' were more into the hip hop/fashion world.
