So long as it's the John Milius masterpiece and not some pointless remake that will undoubtedly capture none of the original's pure Howardian bombast.

HAHA! It looks like garbage. But it looks better than that "Immortals" movie.

while a huge fan of the original and not a big fan of remakes , i think it might be promising after seeing jason moma in game of thrones, the sets look fantastic and i will basically watch anything with conan even if it was all pixar, and to be honest it looks like it will be better than conan the destroyer

I dont think it is consider a remake since Conan was based from the novels. There has so many misinterpretations of the word "remake" or "revision" from films that were based from novels. Like Dracula, there have been a few films done based from the novel (Francis Coppola's version being the more faithful).

anyway, back to the point, while it is nice that Conan has returned, but the looks and style brings me nightmares of the Gods-awful clash of the titans remake. Were it's filled pretty over the top special effects to stand above the neglected plot they cared less for.

yeah , i have been following it on superherohype.com and they are following closer to the books but jason is a freak for the savage sword of conan comics so a mixed bag , even with the character robert e howard laid the ground work and is the definitive take but robert jordan does an alright job with him to , the art directors said they are going for the look of a boris vallejo painting and some of the still i have seen of the sets looks amazing ,
so i think it will be better than clash of the titans , the gods know it can't be worse , because visual i thought clash of the titans was as dull as the dialogue

The Conan remake looks as bad as the Clash of the Titans remake. But hey there's always the Dirty Dancing remake to look forward to!

Here is the link to an article I wrote on Robert E. Howard's influence on lyrics in heavy metal. I originally wrote this for a speculative fiction website where there were some problems regarding the layout that I wanted,so I pulled it.

I saw the movie, but I see literally every movie thats in the theatre. I went into it thinking it was going to be stupid. I think I would have thought it was alright it if it was called something other than Conan.
