Ruination = bottled awesome! Shame it's so expensive. I have to save it for special occasions along with the Double Bastard.

I tried some of the Newcastle Werewolf last night. Good stuff. If you've ever wished Newcastle had just a tad more bite, well, that's pretty much it. A little darker, more of a roasted flavor. Pretty tasty.

Also, at Con I learned the joys of room temp Guiness for breakfast. Not something I can indulge in on weekdays, but this will definitely happen for the occasional lazy weekend.

ya now double bastard is good shit!I got good n buzzed off one bomber last winter one of my favs.The ruination was alright but kinda overly bitter.
Speakin of guiness I got a 4 pack of the foreign extra stout from walmart but it must not have been stored right because it was sour and bad so it got the ol drain pour

That newcastle werewolf looks to have some pretty mediocre reviews and newcastle is not that good imo anyways, last one I had was bad to.
If you want a good brown ale try terrapins india brown ale or DFH india brown,both are really good.First time I tried the terrapin's brown it was on tap and it blew me away because it was so diffrent to anything I had ever had.

My favorite is Paulaner Hefeweisen. Authentic German beer at it's finest. I think it's somewhere around 5.5% alc/vol. Really nice wheaty flavor, kinda cloudy but not thick tasting like a stout at all, well pronounced hop aftertaste and goes great with most anything. Not really a fan of the Paulaner Salvatore double bock. I think the Salvatore is around 9 or 10% alc/vol, and the extra alcohol seems to have a little too much of that alcohol burn to it which ruins the opportunity to really taste what the beer might otherwise possess.

Maybe it was repealed, but it definitely existed for a while either in Fulton or City of ATL.

A mixed sixer was still considered a sale like any other sixer.

I had a whole list of stuff to get but some of the stuff was either too expensive or they didn't have it. I did get one thing on my list...lol.

New Belgium Belgo Belgian IPA (6 pack)

All for $32 give or take.

Also got a SN Torpedo single at Total Wine to see if I like it enough to commit to buying 2 12 packs for like $25 next time I come down.

i like the yeti.....i will try any beer that seems promising and have come across some awesome ones
pretty much anything from deschutes brewing in oregon especially black butte porter and abyss (11%)-both rich and velvety though you can taste the extra etoh in abyss
st. bernardus abt 12-med dark beer that takes like slightly burnt caramel (in a good way)
moa noir - fat dark nz beer that you can actually drink a lot of now available at whole foods
steinlager-the nz version -best cheap beer when you can get it- light and amenable to large consumption while watching the allblacks kickass!
abita turbodog - like a beer mocha- standard of my fridge
skullsplitter rouge brewing- another dark bottle of happiness
lindemans framboise lambic - fruity goodness great on a hot day as is left hand brewing's good ju ju which is like alcoholic ginger ale
la fin du monde- which like abita is at every grocery store in town
allagash blonde-tastes citrusy and crisp
damn... i want a beer now

that yeti is quite good. need to try the turbodog as that sounds delicious. good beer is too expensive.

And I dont think good beer is expensive as much as cheap beer is for what you get.At least your getting what you pay for with a quality craft beer and not a bunch of water and cheap adjuncts like corn and rice with a smiggen of hops thrown in.

Yeah I can agree with that, especially a nice high gravity dark beer, totally worth the $10 or so for a sixer I just wish I could afford to pay that much for beer all the time... seems I'm always trying to/having to get out as cheap as possible. That and as much as I like good beer the goal is to get drunk and most of the time i'm ok with doing that as cheaply as possible.

The Yetti is great and the SN torpedo's are good but kinda like the ruination they have alot of that bitter hop bite.Not so sure about that sour ale seems kinda weird:/
Dont know what it is but Ive never had much luck with Belgians, they always seem to have an off taste.Guess its just not my style but maybe that ipa belgium would be good.

It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I just wanted to get at least 2 6 packs to last me until I came back. I drink 2 beers at a time/per night.

I did go to Green's afterwards to compare but they closed right when I walked in even though it was only 9:22. Lame.

Ok I'll probably drink it tomorrow actually.

I've been wanting to try the Yeti for awhile so I'm excited to try it.

Weird is fine with me. I wanna try all the styles.

I'm not a huge fan of Belgians but I've only had 1 Belgian IPA and I wanted something new or rare and that was cheap so I got it. It's supposedly really good too. About to drink one now.

The $5.99 6-er of the Hefeweizen is very good. Great price.
