I haven't heard of at least half of these bands...I have some listenin' to do!
Yes. Some of my favorite bands are from foreign countries. This is something I'm use to.

Dude, I like alot of Metal music from fuckin' china. And as far as Slavic bands go, I am Russian. I actually understand what some of these Russian bands are saying.

I posted a link of them. The song called Spirit of War is really good.

I hope you're trying to be sarcastic or something because what you're saying to all of us is blatantly obvious! (about foreign bands and Decapitated...trust me we all know that.) But something tells me you're serious! It's cool mang 8)

Obviously non-metalheads have no clue that metal bands come from every where so I always have alot of fun telling them about it. Maryland Deathfest is a great example of this, for both bands and audience. You should go next year!

and speaking of Decapitated...I just went to the publix website looking for a recipe and saw a link for 'decorated cakes' and for a brief second I thought it said Decapitated cakes

Terrible name but pretty awesome band.

Absolutely yes. Wish they'd give Temnozor a rest and work on another Walknut album.

Also for those interested, I noticed today that our own Negative Existence and the old stand-by Hell's Headbangers has a lot of the stuff we've been discussing. So much of the Eastern European stuff can be really hard to find through a domestic distro. When I've been lucky enough to even find what I've been looking for, exchange rates and international shipping has been a deal breaker for me more than once.

Temnozor is the band I was looking for! Also Kroda is another good pagan black metal band from Ukraine.

Poland:

Crionics... well, their first 3 full lengths all rule pretty hard. But their latest EP is eeehhhhhh.

Vesania is another good mention.

Riverside - love this band.

Disperse - holy fucking teenage guitar goddamn prodigy. Amazing band.

Russia:

Forest Stream, one of my favorite bands evar.

The Morningside; in the same vein.

I have this cd from this band called Tiran. They are definitely Russian but I wasn't digging it at all from what I remember. I should try them again I suppose.
