I'll be there. Assigned seating sucks but there are too many good bands to miss.

...and I'm back. Wow, great show. This was my first time seeing those bands except FF. Definitely worth the money.

Bands started playing before 4:30. :? I entered the arena at 4:20 or so and Dry Kill Logic was already playing. Nevermore played after Dry Kill Logic and then Life of Agony came next. After that, Dillinger Escape Plan, Fear Factory, Dream Theater, and Megadeth. Yeah, I thought Dream Theater's sound sucked too, but good show nonetheless.

EDIT: Why do FF keep playing Martyr? Very annoying song. Blah...

Dang, Bob, I never saw you. I was in Section 101 but did a fair amount of wandering early in the night.

Tim didn't see you there, either. This was the first show in recent memory where Tim did not have backstage access :!: , although he did get two tickets courtesy of Megadeth.

DT's sound was way too loud, for one thing. Thank ghu I brought earplugs...and extra earplugs, too. James' voice sounded top-notch, though......unlike Burton C. Bell's. He needs to take it easy for a bit.

I was shocked when Nevermore went on. I thought they'd be on later, too. Glad I caught their too-short set. Warrel sounded good, and they were the first band to have any significant crowd response. I bought the new CD at the show and got it autographed by them...very cool. We hung out later with Jeff Loomis in the lobby.

I think Bobaflex went on at 3:50 pm -- they were already onstage when we got there at around 4pm. From what I heard, I think I might have liked them more than Mike-- err, Dry Kill Logic.

Pics from the show are posted here. Lots of fuzzy pics. One "test" shot of Nevermore and, failing to get thrown out, I took more during FF's set and beyond. (The guy at the door checked my camera and pronounced it 'okay' since it looks small and cheap.....)

I started out in section 102 then migrated more front-n-center to 100. I did bump into Tim and Mr Peanut on the way out. I was the orange shirt in a sea of black. I'm almost positive that I'm in this picture from your site. I'm doing what I would instinctively do in a crowd of people...

lol

"Here's the mysterious bobasaur in one of its natural habitats. A shy creature, it gets skittish in crowds...which is why, in this shot, it's fleeing the area."

I just found out that Symphony X had cancelled! So I feel even less regret at missing this show (All the bands I wanted to see I'd seen before). I'm surprised this wasn't mentioned here though!

'Cause no-one here seems to care about prog-metal bands, maybe.

--Well, except me. Why I keep bringing my 'progressive' CD case down to WREKage every week is beyond me; it's not as if we ever get requests for them, and when I dare to play something progressive, I catch shit from somewhere, in-studio or out.
