Breaking shit and being an asshole is different than being "repulsed" by your perception of what clique a person belongs to, or someone not meeting your minimum threshold of overt "metal" appearance. Do certain races "repulse" you as well? Sounds harsh probably, but that's the logical path you're going down. You feel physically sick by the LOOK of certain people showing up to watch your band? That's pathetic.

If those same "hipsters" were longhairs, wearing jeans and Dyssrhymmthic Asssyrthgorth tees, would you be griping about it? Just wondering, because it sounds like your interests lie in establishing rules for playing dress-up rather than making/listening to music.
Seriously...I feel like people hating hipsters is like people hating certain cliques in high school.

this. Personally I don't get the whole anti-hipster thing myself. It isn't like the whole emo thing were kids are too stupid to realize they contradict themselves by asking people not to label them, yet they're proud of being "*emo*motional", whiny preteens that didn't get a ride to the mall.

The category is too broad and the description is too vague. So a hipster is basically a new word for scenester e.i. Poseur, trendy douchebag, or a word for someone trying too hard to fit in, right?

Arguing who is and isn't a hipster is just as relevant as arguing what genre a band falls into or who influenced the band.

"It's blackened death metal d00d ur 2 stupid to understand metal"
