The show would not have happened at all if I hadnt booked it, simple as that. So be glad the show is coming here at all. If anyone is really expecting to show up and the only pa to be there is that broken monitor youre an idiot. Parking isnt an issue, there are two big lots and street parking. We've had a few shows with 400+ people and there were no issues for capacity, parking, or anything else.

There is a decent size stage, will have good sound, you can park right next to the entrance, and is going to be cheaper than if it were at any other venue. If anyone is going to complain about it, dont come. Everyone should be excited to see Obituary at a smaller DIY attitude spot.

None of this is directed at anyone specific. Most of the feed back I've gotten has been great so far, so if youre going to whine about it keep it to yourself.

well it sounds like things will be pretty different than it was the last time many of us were there. you really can't blame people for being skeptical about Archive when just a short while ago people were wondering if shows that were booked there were even going to happen at all with the various obstacles that were popping up. I'll be there regardless, hoping for the best and hoping to god there's a killer PA

I never really had any problems with Archive at all and from what I understand, the one show that pissed a bunch of people off wasn't even run by Neal. Every show I've seen him do has worked out great...I am sure this will be no different.

there was more going on than "one show" that pissed a bunch of people off. If you think i'm just sitting here talking exclusively about the one time living decay got bumped than you're mistaken, man. The police trouble, word that it was going to be shut down, word that it allegedly HAD shut down, some shows being run poorly (this isn't even something i consider having been a problem there, honestly), sound issues, multiple shows getting cancelled for less than respectable reasons. Nothing i'm talking about has anything to do with Neal or this show, so its kind of irrelevant, I'm just saying its not like naysayers are still saying nay over one show where the running order got fucked up. Neal books good shows and runs them well, I know I don't speak for everyone but i'm pretty sure no one was calling that in to question.

The show is going to be awesome regardless, itll be fun, its going to rule, the end.

People are gonna come out to see obituary regardless of where it is im pretty sure.. but the negative feedback about archive is from people who have been there multiple times, meaning.. it's not completely random and arbitrary. But wasn't it still around 15$ the last time they came through with unleashed?

Fair enough, this wasn't really directed at you specifically, if it were I would have quoted you haha. I just have seen a lot of people on here, on I_LOVE_ZUCKERPENIS, etc complaining about the show and I don't get it. It's Obituary playing a DIY spot....everyone always complains about shows being at the Masq, but when a big band plays another spot people come out of the wordwork to complain about that, too (again not directed at you specifically)

Dear all haters,

There have been plenty of shows that have been booked at archive that have been a great success... sound wise, parking wise, and everything else. no one would know about it because as far as i am concerned all of you shit talkers are trolls who don't actually support your scene and give a fuck by coming out to DIY shows but instead would rather sit on your asses and talk shit on the internet, therefore you don't know the dramatic updates and changes that have occurred with the venue.

Not only are you haters completely out of the loop because you don't actually come to metal shows but you have neglected to even ask about the status of the venue, instead relying on some rumors you have heard passed down like third graders playing telephone. Ask and you will receive honest information Grow the fuck up. or better yet MAN the fuck UP. say shit to my face, when you pay me at the OBITUARY show.

you get out what you put in at a DIY venue/DIY scene, if half of you actually gave a shit like you act like you do and were devoted to the "atlanta metal scene" of lack there of, the metal shows at archive would be much better, sorry that I'm not going to go out of my way to ensure that there is an exceptional PA when FIVE PEOPLE SHOW UP TO THE METAL SHOWS.

Hate to compare scenes, but the hardcore shows at archive are always a hit, and are put on with great success, they sound good and people have a fun night. why? because people actually come out to shows and support the bands and venue.

You haters are ignorant. Archive does a vast number of successful events, you just don't know about them. They may not be your thing, your style whatever, but that doesn't give you the right to discredit everything about a venue or assume what rumors you've head are truth, when in fact they are nonexistent.

The archive has been going strong since mid august. Parking is not a problem, police are not a problem. and everyone that comes has a blast.

If you have concerns or issues with the archive gallery, FALL BACK.
stay home and talk your shit rather than see the changes that have ensued and experience a good time, because believe me, we don't need your negative attitudes and vibes at what is a positive and headed in the right direction establishment.

>come in to atlanta metal scene and pretend there is no atlanta metal scene
>pretend archive is the only place that has metal shows
>pretend no one griping goes to shows

maybe five people come out to metal shows at archive gallery because a shitload of other people who might attend feel alienated by bullshit like this. And on the flip side maybe more than five people would show up if there was an investment in a PA that made a show worth seeing. "The lack thereof" is another implication that anyone should feel obligated to go to every single metal show that happens at ARCHIVE GALLERY, regardless of whether or not it would suck or appeal to their personal tastes, which is total horse shit. You want to bitch about people NOT supporting the archive, there are bigger pools to fish in than a board where like 15 people post. Its not really anyone's job to make people like Archive Gallery except Archive Gallery, and a big post like that cutting down half of the people already on the fence isn't going to help matters. I haven't been there in a long time and i'm not trying to kick up an argument but come on, if people don't like your venue, give them a reason to, instead of cutting down your core demographic. its not personal, its business and confusing the two can be pretty detrimental and harmful to everyone overall.

Too long, did not read.

But seriously, I'm glad to see obituary for only ten bucks. I'm sure the show will be great.
