That fucking stupid as shit. I'm not going to this. Its a damn shame that obituary has to play at that shit hole.

Also I think its funny how people talk about how nobody ever goes to shows and we're all posers, and yet its been a long time since I've seen said people at any shows and supporting the scene.

Wow, not cool. Just said that we would be honored to play if there were opening spots. Its not like we have been turned away from a show before. The Archive can do what they want but it seems like they are doing way more shit talking than anyone else is.

The parking situation was enough to make me feel inclined not to go, as well as that show where Beeravore was blamed for Living Decay not being able to play, but Jesus Christ. I didn't read the beginning of this thread until just now and this shit is fucked up. Talk about the wrong way to promote a venue. Also, I also agree that it is ridiculous to say that there is no scene here. Anyone who has been to a local show at Jack's knows that...

Well, if I have the night off next week, I'll definitely be there! Obituary will be great!! Plus, I'll get to see my favorite person Amanda back from Florida

Last time I was at the Archive was this summer, and I remember 2 different shows being canceled, one show starting really late because very few people came, parking included 20 spots and that's it.. It doesn't have that "feel" that you'd get elsewhere, or the quality, but at least one show did sound okay.

Since then, didn't hear any metal shows going on for months, so I really don't know what's changed... and I don't mind giving it another shot and seeing what's different.

Not to say this in a hateful way, but to say "pay me" to invite someone out to a show.. what the fuck? And to say that all the shows go well and everyone loves the venue.. that's just deflecting any criticism. Like you said, it's business. And to promote your business with a negative message up front is only going to hurt you.

I really will try to go either way, and tune out the drama until I get there... if I didn't have 2 jobs, I'd be down there more, but I do what I can, when it's worth it.

I just really hope nothing changes between now and Monday night!!

Yeah, them cancelling shows was total bs. And there was the other instance when a band didn't get to play. Then there's this. There's just been alot of problems with this place....it wasn't like that at first. It's unfortunate. Like I said on the spacebook, go to support Obituary and the others (it's a bit late to be changing venues) and let's not book any more shows there because of all these problems.

As for parking, you can park behind the building...I've done that before and I guess we're allowed to park in the grass across the street which will help alot.

yes, living decay was unfortunately dropped off a show, it sucked but wasn't in my control, i hope having them open for Obituary is making things up to them for that 1 circumstance.

i wouldn't say negative things unprovoked, shit starters on the internet is what i can't stand, come say it to my face. my demeanor is still the same, if you don't like the fact that Obituary is playing, and you want to whine about a venue hosting them, that's fine, don't come, you are not welcome if you're going to say things like "FUCK THE ARCHIVE GALLERY" online. who would invite you into their house when you say things like that?

saw matt moyer (slashandthrash) at a show at 529 recently standing in the same group i was in, would not say anything to my face...100 bucks says he will not when i see him next. unprovoked shit talking internet hater. then, to be even more like a drama obsessed child, posts untrue/twisted things on multiple internet forms to slander my name and the venue that he is so jealous of. sorry your life must suck. you're not welcome at the show matt, don't bother coming.

Barring the fact that you walking past my friends and i and standing with other people on the same sidewalk in our general proximity is kind of different from standing in the same group of people, i said nothing to you cause i didn't have shit to say to you, what do you want me to do, drop everything i was doing, walk up to you, and tell you i think youre a rude, selfish, disrespectful poser piece of shit? I have plenty going on in my own life that doesn't involve picking fights with a girl in a bar on Halloween. Why would I ever say anything to you, at all?
