Atrocitus is a local band from Tallahassee. I still haven't seen them yet though. I think they're half serious/ half joking and just want to have fun...it's wrestling themed lol

BEST FUCKING FORWARD TO THE APOCALYPSE FEST EVER!!! Despite last minute drop-offs to Phobia (flight issues) and Recreant (Wedding) and Because The World Is Too Beauful For Man (alcohol poisioning) Forward To The Apocalypse was a smashing success. just under 200 people attended for the two days combine so it's something positive to build on for next year. So again many thanks to those who took part. YOU RULE!

shit happens you know. but they'll be back for a free showtime after their UK tour for those with tickets to the fest. so all is good.

Recommend however check out Dead Yet? and Slave Grave (if you're not too metal for a couple HC bands) Because The World Is Too Beautiful For Man (cross between Doom and EHG) also, Atrocitus these guys stole the show. they eat their own god as well so we still had enough for a blast with all the other bands.

I've always heard if someone requests "electronic" press kits then it's not lagit.

This is seriously contrary what other people have told me about this year's fest. Don't mean to be a killjoy but I'd like to hear what other people say about this fest besides the actual promoter.

the turnout sucked, the headliner dropped as is customary for FttA, im sure it was the same shit in a different city. i admit i dont know for a fact how things went, but i think its a safe assumption that more lies were told and bands went unpaid, but the reports back this way are really positive, cause dat how foyd roll yall.

Interesting, I'm not sure anyone uses physical press kits anymore. Probably because they're a waste of paper and postage.

Savannah Metal-Punx
UPCOMING SHRED SESSIONS: Still recovering from this weekend can't remember the last time Savannah had so much going on at one time that was actually worth going to. Taking this time personally to thank everybody involved with Forward To The Apocalypse Fest and hope you do it again next year.

HOT GRAVES
Thank you Savannah! We had a blast at the Forward to the Apocalypse Fest. Good to see old friends and make new friends. See you soon Savannah!

they eat their own god
Thanks Savannah and new friends. Thanks for Lionel for getting everything together, he goes under-appreciated in the Savannah scene.

Man Will Destroy Himself
Goddamn Savannah you kicked our ass....

Billy Chad Grooms Had a killer time!

Shadow of Creation Oh course man, was a pleasure. Good shit!

I don't know sounds like a few people had quite a good time Dan. And I can't imagine anyone being too down besides the fact Phobia dropping off especially since so many people told them not to expect anything less than a clusterfuck. So if some one came anyway expecting a clusterfuck than what we had was a pleasant surprise instead of a disappointment. Thanks for setting a low bar for us. :D

As per usual talking smack without facts. But at least this time you admit as much. FTTA 2011 for the two days of the fest drew a total of just under 200 people (184 paid either full or 1/2 price) despite the headliner not showing. All touring support bands walked away with cash in hand. All bands with guarantees got paid in full. Yeah even local bands got something not much but something.

But that's not why it was the best ever. FIRST it was DRAMA free. So that allowed for us to do a better job of promoting. Because without drama people are more likely to want to come out and have a good time. People that had concerns with the fest came to us to discuss those issues instead of going on the internet therefore we were able to have real discussions to those concerns and we were able as organizers to be more intuned to hear critical advice as oppose to baseless criticism that offered no alternative. So EMOTIONALLY it was WAAAY BETTER not dealing with the politics that allowed us to promote better.

Second Savannah is a better suited to our SPIRITUAL DIY ethics than Atlanta by contrast. From The Wormhole being perhaps the most gracious venue with generous hospitality with a professional soundman that made every band sound good, to friendly staff the entire two days and they didn't mind the Crusties setting up camp in the parking lot. To competing venues allowing the flyer to be hung in their space, to loaning equipement, giving bands drink discounts, to one pizza place putting a flyer in every delivery box. To people who didn't even go but helped in some way whether it was putting up flyers or housing out of towners. Everybody found a way to be a part without even being asked. Just because it was their scene. A lot of people from within the Savannah scene chipped in which made it possible for us to just focus on promoting and taking care of the small details.

So emotionally and spiritually it was a 100% better experience that left a better foundation for Forward To The Apocalypse to build upon for next year.

I think the fest was a lot of fun despite the fact that I was exhausted pretty much all weekend and could not think straight. My only big complaint was that Cough didn't play a very long set, but it was so late, I am sure that they were tired, too. I also want to thank Floyd for his hospitality and in giving me a place to stay. Appreciate it a lot!
