I know man... it's just ridiculous how meticulously put together everything about it is. Phenomenal drumming, phenomenal guitar work, fantastic vocals (especially the falsettos), great songwriting... just a killer record. I wish more of it was in the vein of the faster songs as some of the slower one's go a little too far in the "radio rock" direction but I'm just like that and even those are still good... just not as good as the fast stuff to me.stewvee wrote:Dudes this is a band that was rocking the fuck out in 1977. Was blown the fuck away by this shit. And yes, WINGS ARE FOR ANGELS is like the burner from HELL. Nice drummers world beginning there, cochise.

I kinda need the slow tunes after the burners. If they played this in its entirety live, they would too, and an oxygen tank.
It's arena rock stuff. But brings back "Omni beer" memories and a time when there were year-end lists that weren't totally comprised of Profound Lore releases...

Omni shows were the shit. 15000 wasted teenagers drinking, fighting, rocking and fucking. It was like Over the Edge. I picked up so many awesome bootleg shirts in those parking lots.
The only time you see kids at those kinds of show now is when they are with Cool Dad. Anarchy is significantly decreased.

That's totally what it was. Everyone looked a lot scarier unwashed, with big feathery hair and denim and leather on. Dreamcatcher earrings. Poke-a-hot-ass boots. Dugouts. Personalized name wristbands. Peachfuzz staches. Backpatches. Lipgloss.badcarburetor wrote:It was like Over the Edge.
Now it's upside cross this Latin that. Ironic this parody that.

It took me 12 years, but i eventually got a cherry, bright red, T-topped 88 Camaro. Drove the shit outta it until last year when some hoodrat ran my husband off the road and into a fire tyrant.
My hair felt 3" taller every time i dropped into the vinyl driver's seat.
RIP my Most Bitchin Camaro.
