I've been on a real Scorps and King Diamond kick, too. Smiths as well, as always.

I tried that Ash Borer, but I think it was wrong time, wrong place. Seems like it might need some dedicated listening time.

Michael Monroe - Sensory Overdrive
Starts off with a bang and then slows down. This album would have kicked way more ass if it was a bit more organic (analog recording and production, not compressed like a pancake, etc...).

Playing new MM meant that I then had to spin all the good Hanoi Rocks albums, natch.

Lulu
In spite of my optimism, this sounds about like I expected. I still think it's cool that these guys worked together, even if the end result is far from compelling.

Blackmore's Night - the second and last albums, I think.
It was on Spotify, put me right to sleep and that's what I was looking for.

Exodus - Force of Habit
I haven't spun this in a couple years. I saw Gary Holt talking about it on that Metal Evolution show and he called it their sellout record so I felt the need to revisit it. It's not all that bad and the production is monstrous and has one of the very best guitar tones I've ever heard. It's like a fucking brickwall of guitars and yet the bass cuts through clearly. I need to score this on vinyl and crank the fuck outta it. It's not their best song collection, but it ain't piss poor either and the awkward cover of Bitch isn't totally horrifying....

Jasta - solo thang
Yeeeah...no.

The Might Could
Best name ever. Run of the mill, but decent Southern rock.

LA Guns - the recent acoustic thang
Surprisingly, this is very good and really does the songs well. Tracii Guns may be a douchelord, but he really can play his ass off. He still ruined the show I saw with him on guitar for Faster Pussycat, just totally overplayed everywhere and hit like one power chord all night. I get it, he's a badass. He still needs to play the actual songs.

AC4 - s/t
Fucking bad to the bone throwback hardcore from Dennis (and one of the other guys, I think) from Refused's new band. If you like fast, nasty old style hardcore, you gotta check this shit out. It's on Spotify.

It's a lot rougher, right? And the Adolescent Wet Dream cover is HEH VEE.

After buying and listening to the politically incorrect album The Boys From Brutalsville by ANTiSEEN (a great punk onslaught), I had to cleanse myself by listening to Ministry's The Last Sucker. I particularly like the Roadhouse Blues cover on there.
