Turns out I'm going to miss Slayer, Motorhead and Brian's poop. I've got a wedding to go to that day. I'd much rather play Heavy Metal Parking Lot all day, but family is family. Ya'll have fun.

http://www.noordhollandsdagblad.nl/nieu ... cdbox-niet

From Dutch newspaper NoordHollandsdagblad:

Motorhead: "Don't buy our new cd boxset."

The British heavy metal band Motorhead advises its own fans to reject their new 15-cd boxset. According to the rockers, the price tag is $600, simply too high for a collector's box set, Lemmy Kilmister told CNN.

"Unfortunately greed got the upper hand again," said Kilmister "I hereby advise everyone to not buy the box set, not even our most dedicated fans." The Complete Early Years Box Set consists of eight early albums, from the debut album "Motorhead" from 1977 to "No Remorse" from 1984, some singles, posters and a photobook.

Kilmister: "I want to make perfectly clear that we have nothing to do with this. We have no control anymore over our early work and I don't want the fans to think that we had anything to do with the release of such an expensive box set. It's all an action taken by the record company which owns the rights."

I could have just looked this up on CNN, but this was more fun.

I never thought I'd have a chance to see Iron Maiden in Atlanta, and I fucking KNEW Motorhead would never come through here.

God ah-mitey, y'all.
Thanks,
SBG

I'm not a fan of any of the bands tbh but Refused hasn't played in years and Slayer and all the other bands play all the time.

I'd see the band that's reuniting.

motorhead

Post by Odinson666 » Mon April 9th, 2012, 12:14 pm

Motorhead is hit or miss , first time I saw them open for Slayer on the south of heaven tour they ruled and sounded great, then the next time I saw them in a shed on the operation rock n roll tour with alice cooper and priest and they sounded like shit, so might go just to tip the balance on them and how much longer are they going to stay at after all Lemmy is 66

Are they surprising us with any other bands, or is this the final lineup?
