Post by donkeytron » Tue March 6th, 2012, 6:14 pm

So apparently Tragedy is touring soon with Wartorn, and they have Atlanta penciled in for May7th. Any info about this here would be much appreciated.
See you in Hell!

I don't think all the details are set in stone just yet, but its supposed to be at 529 and we're on it, I don't know what other locals are on yet though. It's going to be a phenomenal show that no one here should miss, even if you aren't that into punk. We'll post something when its all confirmed

Now that would be a great metal show that many metal fans would go to, so thanks for posting it on this, a metal forum. Thanks.

For future reference, post all upcoming hardcore shows on this forum. Thanks again.

Thanks.
Thanks,
SBG

SBG it would be a real TRAGEDY if you skipped this one because it isn't metal.

You know how much punk, crust and other bullshit I listen to. I could've posted the same thing in the numerous non-metal threads lining the concert section. This one just happened to be at the top. And I just happened to have almost a liter of scotch rushing through my system at the time.

Furthermore, I've really enjoyed what Tragedy other people have played for me. Suck it.
Thanks,
SBG

I second this no hardcore listings. It's a fucking metal board. :P

Or, if you're gonna allow it, change the graphic on the upper lefthand side to say ATLANTA METAL (and hardcore too) and have some dope with pins and shit skanking on the other side of the flying V guy.

Who cares? Just ignore it if you don't want to look at it.

I'm sure this will promote the show and get more people to come out.

Yeah you guys are right, we should keep everything segregated so that there's not accidently a good show with a shit ton of people who like both styles of music. If we're not careful atlanta could have a really solid scene like in the 585 days. I wonder if the guys who book tragedy on MDF and similar fests know that they're not strictly a metal band? probably not

I read stevwee's post as sarcasm. But then again it's the internet, who ever knows.

Are there really people here who like only metal? If we are just talking about playing style or sound, metal/hardcore punk/crust are so similar that IMO it's retarded to only be a fan of one. Obviously the genres have different ethos but I don't think that's a reason to like one genre and not another.

I think the basic rule should be that as long as it's a show that's something actually worth seeing then it's fair game to be posted.
