I thought Harold and Kumar was awful. My roomate and I both enjoy stoner movies but that movie just sucked. The shitty special effects didn't help either. I don't care about doogie howzer either so that wasn't a big deal for me. Half Baked is great, and a lot more realistic (for a stoner movie). Nobody rides a fuckin cheetah through the woods.

haha yeah the first couple of showings have too many dressed up people. no D&D ever for me.

Fear Dot Com was actually pretty scary.
But that might be because I watched it by myself at like 4 AM one night.

Yea, Fear Dot Com is a copycat film.

When I first read the plot on the internet I couldn't help but think this was a rip-off of The Ring. When I saw the first couple of minutes of the film I couldn't help but feel like I had seen this movie before. Then I realized I had seen this movie before, when it was called The Ring.

I just Fargo last week and it was good!
I want to check out Eternal Sunshine and Harold and Kumar. A friend of mine loved Harold and Kumar but then again he and I have completely different tastes in movies. But I still want to check it out regardless.

Eternal Sunshine is a great movie and it has a plot all it's own.
Harold and Kumar is funny as hell, yes it has shitty effects and the cheetah sux. However it is a good comedy, way better than Anchorman and Dodgeball. I hated those.

ill give it to eric (levelscream) eternal sunshine was a really cool movie. i usually hate jim carey, but it wasnt the normal jim carey in this movie. more like a total recall with out "conan the republican" and all the cheezy shit. (although the chick with 3 tits was cool)

Kinda like how the The Ring was really called Ringu the first time around?
If you've only seen American versions of all of these recent remakes, you're missing out on some amazing stuff.
The American versions are watered down shit, for the most part.

The Ring is still pretty good, it's just nothing compared to the original.
Mike found out that there's also a Korean adaptation; I'm pretty stoked about that.
