I try not to get wrapped up in aesthetics but I hate not having my studded belt and chain wallet at a show.

well shit. Treating a metal show like as if it were a gangsta rap show and not allowing anything with a metallic accessory on it. Just flat out retarded, a shame this happens but I wonder if it were like that back in 1986?

I don't know about here, but where I grew up, yes: security at all the big shows patted people down before entry and there were restrictions about what could and couldn't come in. (I saw Metallica at a place very much like Lakewood in '86 and I clearly remember that patdowns were old hat, by then. Because, you know, metalheads are scary, scary people). I don't remember that so much at club shows.

Can't sleep, it's like Christmas Eve. I literally slept from 1am to 4:30am. Been up since. Brian and I are meeting Tommy at his place in Midtown around 2pm so we can caravan down.

I wear a pyramid belt everyday of my life. That I can wear it work - where I'm much more likely to lose it and go postal - but not at a show is hella lame.

Strange, what do they do with those boxes of confiscated shit after the show?

I'll shoot you a PM with my #.

Can you get a lift to Ponce/Barnett (near Fellini's on Ponce) before 5?

The whole thing is kinda dumb. They allow belt buckles, provided they don't look like brass knuckles or whatever, but pyramid belts which are totally harmless aren't allowed.

Don't know about un-studded bracers. Wallet chains aren't allowed.

(Wallet chain - Wallet chain - I traded Iron Maiden for a wallet chain)

I think they just throw everything in the trash. Most people take anything of value back to their cars.
