I don't want idiot hipsters to like my band. at all.bigballs420 wrote:Have you ever heard a band say "man that show would have been way better had that there not been so many hipster faggots there?" No, that would be ridiculous.

I actually have heard a band say this live; it happened to be Goatwhore, though.Ryan wrote:I don't want idiot hipsters to like my band. at all.bigballs420 wrote:Have you ever heard a band say "man that show would have been way better had that there not been so many hipster faggots there?" Totally disagree. I feel like I shouldn't have to go into explaining how vests are deeply embedded in the metal subculture whereas hipsters basically invade and appropriate (as Matt said at one point) the culture. They look at it as some kind of thing that you can pick apart and has some kind of ironic value, and overall just act come to shows and act like they are superior and above such sillyness. There was some dude who loudly had to say "All of their intros sound like Dire Straits songs!" during Martyrdod and it's just like, go post on Pitchfork some more, dude.muttondagger wrote:we're all hipster faggots here, especially if you wear a vest with band patches on it. just saying.

Enabler was pretty good. They were sick when they were fast but I didn't care for the hardcore style breakdowns. Martyrdod ruled hard as shit in my opinion. Black Breath was great too. As for the hipster thing... it only bugs me that they seem bored or something at shows. The bands played well, the crowd sucked.
