Gay marriage amendment isn't appealing to popular sentiments?
He totally goes with his hardcore Evangelist base as much as he can, and caters to the Christian majority in general. Terri Schiavo anyone?

Good job trying to stereotype; however, your failure is hilarious.

i really don't care to get into this discussion but lets be honest about this disaster...........NO ONE COULD'VE STOPPED IT! it was an act of nature, nothing manmade can stand up to nature. even if politicians were all honest and never cut spending on anything disasters would still strike and new orleans will be under water everytime a hurricane hits it.

and for the record, i haven't actually read the 7 pages of arguments on this topic so excuse me if y'all have moved from this disaster thing to just bitching about politics

Actually, it kind of went from "the disaster thing" to "inane bickering between the idiots who don't know what the fuck is going on vs. the people with reading comprehension skills."

The point in mentioning Terry Schiavo was this:

Because Bush had to make his Christian point, he interrupted his last vacation to go back to DC and sign the bullshit bill that came from the Schiavo situation.

[sarcasm]Because Bush cared so much about the hurricaine, he gave up the last days of his hard earned vacation to finally do something about the damage.[/sarcasm]

He does things from which he makes personal gain.
There is no honesty whatsoever, and it clearly shows that he could give a fuck about the average American.
