YES.

That's not a bad playlist, though, for shit to be stuck with.

I'm thinking of cancelling Rhapsody again--damn thing is so buggy. I cancelled MOG because the radio function sucked. I find myself listening to Pandora more than anything. I think I'll keep that up and when something really turns me on I'll buy it and own it outright. I keep feeling guilty that the artists on Rhapsody, Spotify, etc. aren't getting enough dough.

It’s hard to believe, but July 14 marked the one-year anniversary of Spotify in the U.S. In August 2011, Century Media became the first metal-centric label to pull its artists from Spotify. The move sparked an unprecedented discourse between MetalSucks and the label (which you can read about here and here). I can’t recall another instance where a label felt compelled to openly duel with the blogosphere. Shortly after Century Media pulled the plug, other notable metal-oriented labels (such as Metal Blade, Prosthetic and Sumerian) followed suit.
I feel like I'm missing out on stuff that Rhapsody doesn't carry--like that Wastelander track. I can't find that anywhere.

Idk. Maybe I'll go back to emusic.com

Metal Blade put all their shit back up on Spotify a week or two ago. I'm not sure about Prosthetic and I'm pretty sure I couldn't care less about Sumerian. I love Spotify. I buy a stupid amount of music and love having access to even more via Spotify. I listen to it all day at work, a lot in the car and at the gym. I definitely get my $9/month (or whatever it is) out of it for the commercial free mobile app. And I get to try before I buy all kinds of shit. It glitches occasionally, but not too much. The only downside is if you are using it mobile try to stay on wifi or it really uses up the data. I have unlimited data on my AT&T iPhone and I still get notices from them that I'm using to much and they are going to slow me down before the end of my billing cycle. Ha. WTF?

I used to use Pandora a lot at work. I built my own stations for my favorite genres and I would use DARKTHRONE RADIO or whatever, but I got burned on the limited playlists. Maybe I'll try it at the gym again with TERROR RADIO. Ha.

Wastelander is THE shit. That first album is also out on vinyl and try to find a copy of their first 7". It's even better than the album and the album is afuckingmazing. I really want to find a copy of that crazy board game they are playing on the back cover of the album and I don't even like strategy games. I haven't heard anything about them in ages. They better still be together. One of my favorite bands of the last five years.

They called it quits a while back unfortunately, I used to talk to one of the dudes on the internet after they had to cancel their tour that was supposed to hit 585. Major bummer.

Lost my iPod and this CD has been playing over and over each day for the past week or so in my car. I don't mind it one bit.
