They're both good sludgy bands. I haven't seen 16 and I only got to see a short bit Tombs set when they played with Pelican, but I'll likely be able to see that show for free. Rare appearance from Swans? They were here last year also.

I can guarantee you there will be more hipsters at Swans than there are ones who have even heard of 16 or Tombs. Not that it matters.
I like tombs but they would not exist if it weren't for Swans, I'm sure mike hill would make no bones about this fact

Found it...now that's some unfortunate booking on their part...if they opened for Swans that would be pretty great, I wish Xiu Xiu was still on this leg of the Swans show but I think it would be interesting to have a metal band like Tombs open the show, it would accent the fact that live Swans are as crushing as any metal band

Fuck, that would be amazing. Someone needs to make this happen, stat :twisted: I just don't know how common/uncommon it is to combine two shows in such a way on such short notice - is there any precedent for this sort of thing?
