I feel like I've probably had at least one beer soaked conversation about Reinkaos with one or both of you guys some time or another, but I really have to ask...what is it exactly that you like so much about that album? I shelved it for years after just a couple of listens when it first dropped. Given it a few more tries over time, but still wouldn't place it nearly in the same tier as those first two. I have to admit that the obvious production differences have probably colored my view some, but even just the song writing doesn't hold my interest like most any of SotLB or especially The Somberlain.Brian wrote:Well deserved praise. While Storm of the lights bane is one of my favorite albums ever the thing I like about reinkaos is the fact the black dragon is so high up in the mix that it makes the dark portals stand outMS_39455 wrote:I feel like I've probably had at least one beer soaked conversation about Reinkaos with one or both of you guys some time or another, but I really have to ask...what is it exactly that you like so much about that album? WE have had this conversation. Like three times. I'd do it again though.MS_39455 wrote:I feel like I've probably had at least one beer soaked conversation about Reinkaos with one or both of you guys some time or another, but I really have to ask...what is it exactly that you like so much about that album? It's probably more of an artsy-fartsy answer than I want to admit....MS_39455 wrote:I feel like I've probably had at least one beer soaked conversation about Reinkaos with one or both of you guys some time or another, but I really have to ask...what is it exactly that you like so much about that album? SotLB and The Somberlain are both excellent, no question there. Flaweless really, but to me, they are both collections of great songs, while Reinkaos works as a great album. Aesthetically, lyrically, musically, it's all a perfect execution of JN's vision. The whole record gives off a vibe or complete and total victory and it rules.
Fair enough. Glad to finally hear a specific reason...Brian wrote:It's probably more of an artsy-fartsy answer than I want to admit....MS_39455 wrote:I feel like I've probably had at least one beer soaked conversation about Reinkaos with one or both of you guys some time or another, but I really have to ask...what is it exactly that you like so much about that album?
