Have you guys checked out Horror Vacui yet? It's also on Avant, like Night Sins and even more amazing, IMO.Odinson666 wrote:yeah in hindsight I could have put the new bestial mouths or night sins on there as well but just got them both a few weeks ago so yet to fully ingest , you should check out that pinkish black out as well, if you can't find it online lemme know and I can email you the mp3sBrian wrote:That Chelsea Wolfe album is fucking stunning and probably takes the whole year for me. My only complaint is that it's too short.
This year was really strong for non-metal actually.

Avoiding work.
I made it out to 18 shows in 2012. That's a record for me and maybe just a little ridiculous.
Anyway, there were a lot of standouts, but I'd say the top half (because I can't narrow it to five) were:
DRI and Death of Kings at the Masqerade.
Casket/Rafay Goes to College/1070 Scum/Mangled/Lectures at WonderRoot.
Black Witchery/Peridition Temple/Grave Ritual/Hellgoat at the Archive Gallery
Withered/Death of Kings/Spew at the Clermont freakin' Lounge
Disfigurement/Sadistic Ritual/Lectures at Jack's
IRON FUCKING MAIDEN and that other guy at Lakewood
Raven and a whole lot of suck at the Loft
Speedwolf/Ectovoid/Sadistic in a basement.
Such a good year for local bands.
But Diana is right: the standout in this tough field is that Horna show. A diverse bill with so much weirdness and such mesmerizing bands.

No, still looking for a torrent of it though when I get my tax return I might have to break down and buy it off iTunes .
