From Jake's FB share. King is planning on giving Hanneman the boot.

I watched the video and I don't know if the quoted part is fair in context. He said that Hanneman is a recluse and King doesn't know if or when he's coming back. Because there is no communication, he's expecting Holt to stay in for the long haul, but it is Hanneman's job, assuming he wants it and can play.

Why he hasn't spoken to Hanneman isn't clear at all. "I don't live in L.A." Well, I might just be a country hick from Michigan, but I'm pretty sure that those new-fangled cell phones reach everywhere. (King even says that he called John Dette and Scott Ian on short notice about the Australia tour). He even says that if Hanneman shows up with songs, they'll put them on this record.

My take is that King is leaving it open, but he is not really pursuing Hanneman's return.

Slayer just announced that Bostaph is back. Really, he's a good drummer. But, really.

I read the same press release and they didn't even mention Dave's name. Hang it up, Slayer-Light.

Saw that this morning, King will keep "Slayer" going forever, Araya is next and I guarantee King will still try and keep it going after that.

Fuck that shit, Slayer was over on May 2nd 2013.

Why doesnt Kerry just make up a new super band, write slayer-esque material and not call it "Slayer". Tom doesnt have much longer to go with the health problems hes had.

I might be interested in a new non-Slayer Kerry King project. With no Tom he's got no Slayer, just a bad Slayer cover band. See Priest without Halford and Maiden wothout Dickenson...its like New Coke...'shit just aint right.
