I would rather sit at home with beer and BBQ and listen to my iPod.

Brian, did you just invite everyone to your house for beer and a bbq? Alright! Everybody, fuck Scion! We've got Brian's iPod! What time should we show up?

Anyone seriously considering going to this? Figure we can all pile in a car, stay the night and head back the next day. Split the cost since we all emptied our coffers at MDF.

Impaled and Testament!

It kicked ass. Beale street was awesome because it was basically a couple blocks with the streets shutdown and no open container law. So cheap 32oz beers on the go! The only downfall was earlier in the day it was raining, and the heavier stage was outdoors. So Gigan, Arsis, and Impaled all played in an outdoor amphitheater of sorts. Vektor was indoors and slayed, which was awesome. I watched all of Gigan, Vektor, Arsis, Impaled, then caught most of Gates of Slumber, COC, Melvins, Royal Thunder, The Obsessed, then all of Testament from back/side of the stage. Got a backstage pass from being friends with one of the bands so also had access to their hotel room nearby to drop some stuff of. Got multiple free Scion Rock Fest shirts and socks, free high quality posters from Revocation And Saint Vitus, and 5 free vinyls. 2 were compilations and the others were Gates of Slumber, Arsis, and Revocation. Got an Impaled shirt for 10 bucks, who slayed, and a Vektor shirt. Got a pick and a drumstick from Hoglan after Testament. After the show drank on the street for a bit, then went back to the hotel where we opened the doors to the hotel and created an Arsis / Vektor party room! Finished every drop of booze we could find, hit up Denny's at about 5am, drunkenly talked to Royal Thunder there, then drove home the next day. All in all, awesome.
