It's been a long time since I did one of these, so it's a long one...

Ratt – S/T EP mainly plus some mixed tracks

Satan’s Wrath – Galloping Blasphemy
This album got a lot of hype in the press, but I haven’t really heard or seen anyone discussing it. I dig it. Very rocking, but definitely metal. It keeps growing on me many months after it’s release.

Shipwrecked – The Last Pagans
"I can do another rep, I caaaaaannnnn...."

Superjoint Ritual – A Lethal Dose of American Hatred

Disfear – Live the Storm

Pink Panzer – whatever that collection is called, Hebrewphobia, Der Panzer or some other name that's not coming to me now.

Exodus – Bonded by Blood

Guida – Racey Roller

Intoxicated – Rock N’ Roll Hellpatrol

Spacemen 3 - Taking Drugs to Make Music to Take Drugs To

Red Fang - Murder the Mountains
I just can't get into these guys. I've tried...

Power Trip – Manifest Decimation

Burzum – Sol austun, Mani vestan (minus the Norwegian punctuation)
This is Varg’s new ambient album where he decides do his best Tangerine Dream impression. That’s just dandy with me. I’ll miss the sound of the post-prison albums, but this is cool, too.

City Sharps – Suburban Sharpie
throwback Sharpie Rock N’ Roll from Down Under. Very good and worth tracking down if you like the style. There are hints of early AC/DC and Rose Tattoo mixed in.

David Bowie – The Next Day
If someone had told me that a bunch of this album was lost tracks from 74 I would have totally bought it. No questions asked. It’s a brilliant fucking record.

Meanstreak – Roadkill
Most overlooked album ever? Stew? Probably not, but it's held up well for a few decades.

Nachtmystium – Addicts: Black Meddle Pt. II

Daft Punk – Random Access Memories
Yeah, I’m in.

Geordie – S/T

Mysticum – In the Streams of…

Wintersun – Time I and S/T – Cool. Not my usual thing. Gets a bit too “oompaâ€Â￾ in places but I’ll probably check them out later this year.

Gothminister – Utopia
Decent goth for in da club, but not really for my regular listening. Also, how terrible is that band name? Shudder…

Iceage – You’re Nothing

Mercyful Fate – Melissa and Don’t Break…

Judas Priest – British Steel

All Night Drug Prowling Wolves – S/T
Probably the greatest ATL band ever. Very close, anyway.

Iskald – Shades of Misery

Joel Grind – Yellow Goat

Deathcharge – Love Was Born into an Early Death
Can't seem to get enough of this dark anarchopunk.

Biters – various

Cold Showers – Love and Regret
This is some of the best deathrock/darkwave I’ve heard in ages. Brian, if you haven't heard these guys, get on it.

Voivod - To the Death 84 demo on vinyl

Saints of the Underground – Love the Sin, Hate the Sinner
Not bad for late era glam metal supergroup nonsense. Jani Lane’s voice is amazing on it. I never thought anything about the guy before. I could have done without the cover of "American Girl."

Jungle Rot – Various.
I was blown away by these guys in Chicago. I love how they play “dumbâ€Â￾ death metal. No techy shit, just tight, heavy chord based metal. Their sound was some of the cleanest I’ve ever heard. Reggie’s is a pretty kick ass club for live music. And record stores. I keep trying to track down the one song that they played that had all these cool quick stops in it. It's driving me mad...

Bolt Thrower – Various and lots.

Fleetwood Mac – Rumors, S/T and Tusk (same as always…)

Breakdown
Hmmm....this gets a bit whiggeriffic in some parts and "Homachuka" Willy is pure douchechill.

Tangerine Dream – various on vinyl and Spotify

Benediction – Various

Pulp – various, mainly This is Hardcore and Different Class

Arditi – Holy dark classical! Someone load up the Panzers and warn Poland. It’s on!

Airbourne – Black Dog Barking – As much as I love Aussie rock, there’s something generic about these guys that keeps them from really connecting with me.

Amon Amarth - lots

Stars & Stripes – Stars & Stripes Forever
I’m more stoked for these guys than Slapshot next week.

Clutch – various
Tried again after it being discussed on here. I just can’t get into this band at all. Maybe it’s the vocals…I dunno…Just doesn’t do it for me.

Aerosmith – Draw the Line

Wax Idols – Discipline and Desire
I was really diggging these guys until I heard Cold Showers. CS has really rocked my world.

Obituary – Slowly We Rot and Xecutioner’s Return
I know it's weird, but this remains my favorite album by these guys.

Dust – Record Store Day 2xLP reissue

Entombed – various

Darkthrone – everything from F.O.A.D. forward.

Windir – 1184 and Soknardair

Vreid – Pitch Black Brigade

Arcade – Angry A/4 – This is way better than I would have ever expected. The production is really tight and full. That helps.

Shooting Star - Anthology and some vinyl that I can’t think of right now. Really good early 80s AOR that never got it’s break. With better luck they could have been right up there with Journey, Foreigner, etc…

Inquisition - Revolution? I Think It's Called Inspiration
The hardcore band with the same name as the BM duo. I stumbled on this on Spotify while looking for the other band and I really dig it. Posi HC not unlike Avail in some place. I love that sound.

Trelldom – Til Et Annet…

Maserati – VII

Hellstomper – all

The Rival Mob – Hardcore for Hardcore

Slayer - pretty much everything with an emphasis on Hell Awaits, Haunting the Chapel and Show No Mercy

P!nk – The Truth About Love

Arsis – some old, some newer, just can’t really get into this band. I think they are too techy for my taste. I want to, but it just won’t click with me on a pure thrash level.

Ramming Speed – something on Tank Crimes

Inside Out – No Spiritual Surrender – meh…

Double Negative – Hardcore Confusion

The Old Firm Casuals – that new 2xLP comp of pretty much everything.
I really have lost some respect for myself for how much I like this band.

Barren Girls – 7â€Â￾ best new punk shit I’ve heard in quite some time. Highly recommended. I hate that I missed their set last month.

Information Society - S/T

George Michael - Listen Without Prejudice

Satan’s Satyrs – Wild Beyond Belief
I think I’d like these guys way better live. I don’t like how the LP sounds blown out for the sake of sounding blown out. I really wanted to dig these dudes.

And a bunch more vinyl that I can’t recall now.

Was that the Reggie's show with Bolt Thrower and Benediction a couple of weeks ago? I keep hearing about how amazing it was. I know a guy that's been blabbing more about that one even more than I've been accosting anyone that looks my general direction about Revenge at MDF.

Yep. That's a pretty kick ass club with great sound. They have some pretty funny slogans like, "We're Not Happy Until You Are Unhappy" and "The Beer Selection Is Terrible, But At Least the Prices Are High!" Shit like that. Anyway, yeah, great fucking show. All the bands slayed. Good time. Now, if I could only track down that song...

I suppose I should give these another try. The last time I listened to them, i was a teenager. Those falsetto vocals just turned me off immediately. But you people seem to dig the King...

I don't know if it the same rooster that I heard, but roosters are freakin' loud.

I...I...I don't know what to say to this blasphemy.

In 25 years I've never gone more than a few months without plays these two albums. I'm not huge on the King's solo work simply because I love how simple and raw the production is on the early Fate stuff and the "big" sound of KD just didn't do the material justice.
