Venomous Maximus Wednesday June 26th Purgatory

Post by GreenMeatShop » Wed June 19th, 2013, 8:20 pm

Just wanted to post to raise awareness about this band / show. I highly recommend checking them out, they're sort of an occult stoner doom band from TX. Last time they came only about 6 people showed up at the Unicorn, but they still put on an awesome show. The singer thanked everyone by first name from the stage after introducing himself to each person before they played. They also sold me a tshirt, lp, poster, and candle for 20 bucks total. I saw them again play for an opening spot for a big band since, and they were even better. Volume IV and Infectious are opening.

Sorry we haven't responded -- because we don't know them we're all just scared that they might blend genres.

I saw them opening for Down in Chattanooga; they were good, but I wouldn't travel to see them.

Honesty is the best policy. I know a lot of this board is biased, as I am with a good bit of metal. These guys kick ass though and are worth a listen. I wouldnt travel to see them either, but if you live in Atlanta theyre more than worth an evening of beers

Infectious are no longer playing the show. Taking their place will be Canopy, who will be playing first.

Just a heads up, I suppose.
