Everyone should either be at the Brick Store Pub or Burnt Hickory Brewery Saturday. Gonna be some awesome beers on tap.
I was actually thinking about making plans to go. The Brick Store told me about it the last time I was there. I got to put some money together first, haha
If you go, let me know. I'll be at the Brick Store from 11am-3pm.

Someone please drink this and report back.

You know what? Screw it. I'm sure it tastes like piss. I'll drink it anyway.

I saw the Southern Tier at Greens and went, "Whaaaat?"

Summer beers usually = wheat, and wheat beers generally = blecch!

So yeah, I'm pretty much ready for fall beers, and for fall itself.

I bought the Southern Tier Pumking yesterday...never had it before. I'm gonna wait till I get Schlafly Pumpkin from someone in TN and do a side by side to see which one I like better since Schlafly Pumpkin is one of my favorite beers.

Yeah I'm not big on wheat either I've been avoiding the wheat beers - got a mix 6 of an ESB, Pilsner, Blonde, Kolsch, and I was trying to get Westbrook Gose (brewed with salt) but only one store got it and it sold out in hours.

I've gotten a bunch of stuff lately:

Founders All Day IPA (6 pack)
Dogfish Head Aprihop
Founders Imperial Stout ($2.50/bottle on happy hour)
Lagunitas Censored Red Ale (^^^)

Drank a barrel aged Old Rasputin with my friend Morgan. She also gave me these rare-ish beers for free just because:

Jack's Abby Hoponius Union
Jack's Abbey RIPL
Maine Zoe
Maine Peeper Ale
How was that Old Rasputin? Almost bought a case of it today but decided on Long Strange Tripel instead (after seeing the Grateful Dead movie "Sunshine Dream" in theaters right beforehand.. lol)

Old Rasputin is the best tasting motor oil I've had.

It was the barrel aged version but the regular I liked a lot but haven't had it in almost 2 years. I'd recommend it though.

I don't like tripels but my friend wants me to try the Long Strange Tripel so bad...next time he gets it I'll try it out.

IMDB doesn't even list this. Is it called Sunshine DAYdream? Was it a one-off Fathom screenings? Just curious. Thanks.

Tried that Old Rasputin, very good. Definitely not an everyday beer but it ranks pretty high among the stouts I've tried. Got a bottle of Trappistes Rochefort 8 too, very excited to taste that. I really like Chimay Blue so I think I'm in for a treat.

Thanks,
