So how was this? Covenant is my 2nd favorite MA record so I was pretty bummed to miss them play that in it's entirety.
SPEWTILATOR - Badass motherfuckin' street cops with nothing to lose who don't play by the rules and are out for blood.

I was a bit disappointed in the "2nd set". It was like 5 more songs tacked onto the end of the Covenant set. I was kinda drunk at that point and talking with a lovely lady, but Immortal Rites (still hate the "sung" keyboard parts, Fall From Grace (my favorite Morbid Angel track), and a few others. Then it was over, I was like all "huh?"

I didn't care for the last record, but I was really hoping to make it to this show; unfortunately, I got stuck on an issue at work.
To anyone that went, was Pete back on the throne or is Tim Yeung still drumming for them? I read that Pete wasn't thrilled about the last record, but wasn't sure if he actually called it quits or not.

Pete the Feet was still MIA. And anticlimactic does about sum it up. The Covenant set was absolutely killer. Went through the catalog alphabetically (skipping Formulas) after that. Maybe five songs and then ended abruptly. I understand that Trey's dad died not long before the show, so I can't help but wonder if maybe they chopped the encore purposefully. And Mangled sounded great. Total liver annihilation last night. Hurtin' today.

I thought it was a great show. Sure, MA could have played a few more songs, but it was still good. And we finally got a G and H song with Dave.
Only caught Mangled's last song but the sound was excellent. Death of Kings' sound wasn't as clear, probably just from being way louder maybe? Great show overall.
