Alice is metal as shit. Remind me to show y'all the deep mental scars he left after singing "Welcome to My Nightmare" on the Muppet Show. I didn't sleep for a month.Generubin wrote:Azrael wrote:Knucklehead wrote:Shouldn't this be in the "non-metal" show section?
Okay, so the Muppet Show probably isn't a very strong argument. BUT STILL.

What's the lawn like at this place? I've never been there.
I never get lawn at Lakewood because what's the point? I could sit in my own yard and put a tv across the street and have the same experience only the beer would be way cheaper.

Fuck yes. Alice Cooper played for nearly an hour and pulled out more props than I've seen in a while. His 10 foot tall singing Frankenstein's monster robot was pretty damn cool. Played essential classic tunes only and left everyone's jaws on the ground with a new lady guitar player that shredded everyone there a new one. Crüe played some great shit and only ventured past Dr. Feelgood for a couple of songs. The human skeleton that used to be Mick Mars was still playing strong and did actually manage to eke out a farewell worthy guitar solo (though it felt kinda weak after watching Alice Cooper's lady axe grinder). Saw a few familiar faces among the shoulder to shoulder lawn crowd. Pretty satisfying evening.

I caught the show out in Birmingham. Crue sounded better than they have the last few times I've seen them. Still not great, but better. haha Alice freaking owned as always! Oh, and the female guitarist Tommy mentioned was actually Nita Strauss of the Iron Maidens.
Let the joyous celebrations of Hell begin!
