Haha, if anything you and Mike should know where I'm coming from because we have to subject ourselves to listening to said crap every week to try and find the good stuff.

Y'know, I think the only thing that makes the new BDM album close to metalcore is the contrived vocals. Musically, it's pretty solid metal. I don't even hear a lot of breakdowns in it.

There are a lot of them in the second half of the album but they're not long and drawn out to the point of making them cliche.
They get a bad rap because of the bands they always tour with, I think they're a pretty good band myself. They also have by far some of the coolest t-shirt designs in metal right now.
Getting to request "Christ I Fucking Hate You" for the last song of the set Vehemence played at the Mortician/Akercocke show a while ago is a fond memory of mine too... does anyone know if any of the stuff they were working on is gonna get released?

Possibly in other bands the members are in...although I wonder how any of us will know which songs were originally intended for Vehemence
