Due to the current status of the global pandemic, we've had to postpone Mass Destruction Metal Fest from Nov 2020 to Nov 5-7, 2021. We've transitioned from a 2-day to a 3-day event for 2021 and as a thank you for supporting us early you will be able to access all 3 days with your current weekend pass! We're coming in bigger than ever!

Would the fest have even been allowed to happen even if you wanted it to? I'm mostly curious about how the venue is handling things.

I'm thinking we'll be fully in the clear by November.

Anyone adult who wants a vaccine should have it by May, says the President. Pfizer and Moderna have started trials for older children and should have EUA's in the next 60 days or so. That will only leave young kids. And they can't go to bars, anyway.

Obviously, this is speculation on my part, but I legitimately think the venues will be fully open by November.

I've been eyeballing the hell outta this and it feels that is likely to be the case. Call it cautiously optimistic. We've had to adjust some unannounced plans to accommodate things because others (understandably) are less optimistic ; but I feel y'all will enjoy what we're cooking up.

The current stated efficacy of the J&J is much lower than Moderna and Pfizer, but also in baby-stages honestly. We'll likely be at minimum 75% populace vaccinated by summer. We're also seeing what safety precautions we can/need to do from the venues end (...if it turns out masks need to be worn, we'd be better off just postponing again...).

CDCs press release this week about vaccinated folks safely being able to gather was promising.

That will only leave young kids. And they can't go to bars, anyway.

This IS an all ages event! There were I think 4 little kids in the building last year.
