Damn. I don't know how far in advance he recorded Country Classics, but there was a new show just yesterday. The years he was on WREK always started my weekend off with some of the most obscure and very earliest country, blues, and genre defying primitive American music I've heard before or since. I wouldn't be surprised if the Smithsonian or National Archive starts sniffing around his basement studio in the coming years. I'd bet that an easy third of that collection is either one of a kind or the only known existing copy. The guy literally saved early American music history one yard sale at a time for probably seven decades. RIP for sure.
