The point is that they need their ticket count to be higher so they look good to the Masquerade. Helping a local band sell their tickets = they get to play more good shows.Blarg! wrote:Yeah that sounds fine,But im just saying,Whats the point of going somewere to buy tickets when I can just pay 2 dollars at the door.
Just meet me outside of the masqueraid
hmm..but would I go out of the way to help them...they do have good guitarists..yeah if you meet me off to the side of the masqueraid ill buy from you. We'll talk more about it come showtimeholly wrote:The point is that they need their ticket count to be higher so they look good to the Masquerade. If your band was playing at the Masquerade, you'd appreciate if someone helped you out, regardless of whether they thought your band was awesome or not.

If the masqueraid tryed to whore my band like that..hmm.I don't think thats going to happen.kfoll wrote:Blarg! wrote:hmm..but would I go out of the way to help them...they do have good guitarists..yeah if you meet me off to the side of the masqueraid ill buy from you. We'll talk more about it come showtimeholly wrote:The point is that they need their ticket count to be higher so they look good to the Masquerade. That or I would give them away to friends
but anyways,I said I would buy them from you
It still confuses me as to why so many metal bands submit to the masqueraids cheap assholishness
How about if the band is good, you let them play again...rather than how many tickets they sell,or else all the trendy popular bands get to play all the time, while the good bands nobody knows about are left with nowhere big to play.
Because running a venue is a business. The people might enjoy their jobs, but they are there to make money. You can be the greatest band in the world, but if you don't bring people to the club, nobody will book you.Blarg! wrote:If the masqueraid tryed to whore my band like that..hmm.I don't think thats going to happen.kfoll wrote:Blarg! wrote:hmm..but would I go out of the way to help them...they do have good guitarists..yeah if you meet me off to the side of the masqueraid ill buy from you. We'll talk more about it come showtimeholly wrote:The point is that they need their ticket count to be higher so they look good to the Masquerade. Not saying I agree with it, just explaining it.
