i dont know what the door will be, but its usually at least 2 bucks more than what we pay. Lets meet up and talk this out; that way i can give you tickets and you can give me cash...

The point is that they need their ticket count to be higher so they look good to the Masquerade. Helping a local band sell their tickets = they get to play more good shows.

It still confuses me as to why so many metal bands submit to the masqueraids cheap assholishness

How about if the band is good,you let them play again...rather than how many tickets they sell,or else all the trendy popular bands get to play all the time,while the good bands nobody knows about are left with nowhere big to play.

Because running a venue is a business. The people might enjoy their jobs, but they are there to make money. You can be the greatest band in the world, but if you don't bring people to the club, nobody will book you.

Not saying I agree with it, just explaining it.
