Ah, that hit the spot, thanks! Just the sort of thing I was looking for. Love that guitar sound.Azrael wrote:Try Weekend Nachos - Worthless
Maybe it's because I listened to this right after the "in-and-out" minute long Weekend Nachos songs, but, despite really digging the riffing and atmosphere, I felt those songs were a little longish -- and I can't believe I've become the sort of person who would say that. Thanks, though! I will be giving it more listens when I'm not feeling so rushed.Knucklehead wrote:Miasmal's s/t, chief. It is straight up, old school death metal and I cannot stop listening to it.
YMMV.
I'm ... not sure what to make of that. Thanks for the rec, though; I love Samoth's style, just never thought I'd hear it with that type of singing over it. May take me more time to get past the initial "wait what's going on here" factor. And to your other point, I think one of my issues is that there -is- so much out there that I end up drowning in dreck. I must've lost my nose for sniffing out good metal.V-GER wrote:Ever here of Scum? Punk/metal group with Casey Chaos, Samoth and Happy Tom. Oh and Faust!

Started watching it once, got distracted or otherwise disinterested -- but one of these days I'll finish it. Thanks for reminding me.badcarburetor wrote: Nice one on the Dandys. I LOVE that band. The later stuff gets much trippier. That's good. Have you seen the film Dig! yet? If not, get on that.

Dude has a huge Sunn rig, the best for sludge crust crossover. Plus super misanthropic lyrics, I love it.DeathfareDevil wrote:Ah, that hit the spot, thanks! Just the sort of thing I was looking for. Love that guitar sound.Azrael wrote:Try Weekend Nachos - Worthless

Did you got to that show a month or so back at the EARL?Matt wrote:Dax Riggs - Say Goodnight to the World
I was pretty unfamiliar with his shit before the show and dug it well enough, but I don't get the cult like worship of most of the people there. Kinda odd and unique fanbase.
Fucked Up - David's Town and David Comes to Life
Autopsy - Macabre Eternal
In Solitude - The World, The Flesh, The Devil - letdown
Kampfar - Kvass
Lady GaGa - Born this Way
